Design quick and effective planners.
Use the simple software to create clear and easy to follow planners. This will support and enable change from one activity, one task, or one group activity, to another.
Create simple templates.
In a few easy steps, clear planners can be created. The templates are then saved and can be amended for another day. A range of different templates can be created so that planning for each day is as quick as possible.
Modify existing templates.
The ability to modify existing templates means that you do not have to start from scratch each time. By using a template and making small adjustments, such as modifying time-slots and changing pictograms, you will have designed a planner suitable for a new day.
Choose from many clear pictograms.
Using the visual aid of one of the many pre-loaded pictograms will support understanding of the current task.
Use analogue or digital clocks.
The choice of the two different kinds of clocks enables the most appropriate one to be chosen for each client. Using the visual support of a clock symbol within the planner will reinforce the concept of the completion of a task, or the end of a particular piece of work.
Use the new Android App.
The new development of the Android App means that more people will be able to access AutiPlan on a ‘mobile’ basis. It will provide an indication when the next planned activity is due to start and will also provide visual cues.
Split the day into time periods of your choice.
The software enables you to divide the day up into varying blocks of time, such as for the length of a sport activity, and allows you to put in as much, or as little, detail as is necessary.
Choose the most useful layout.
The planner can be designed using one of the many pre-set layouts. This lets you decide how big you want the planner to be and which type of clock to use. You can even have a checkbox to provide more detail, if required.
Customise your own layout.
If the right layout for your environment doesn’t exist, then use the software to design a new one. This feature enables you to customise the elements of the planner that you would like to use and to save it as a template for future use.

Upload your own pictograms.
The software easily enables you to use your own pictograms in the form of a photo or other picture or symbol. This may be particularly useful within a support group when new people are often introduced. Using photos with the planner will help prepare for the meeting of meet new people and to reinforce the concept of change.
Print out the planner.
Print out the planner, using one of the variety of pre-set formatting options. These options include the ability to print out a checkbox for each activity so that progress through the day and varying tasks can clearly be seen.
Display your group logo.
Within the full version, the software enables you to display your logo at the top of the printed out planners.
Use PlanViewer.
Using this function turns AutiPlan into an interactive planner. It enables you to shows the current activity and the amount of time left till the activity ends. Within a support group setting, this would be particularly useful in terms of supporting the movement from one specific activity to another.
Develop understanding of changing tasks.
PlanViewer allows you to also show the activity coming up next. This will enable your group to become more familiar with the structure of the sessions.
Create a portal for carers or employer.
The portal enables you to give access to the planners to the other carers or maybe an employer. This will support consistency of planning and organisation between the home and work environment
Empower your group members by supporting access to the portal.
By accessing the portal, the members of the group will feel able to be involved in managing and maintaining their planners, in the knowledge that members of staff or employers will maintain an overview.
